About Iron Ore Fines
Fines are the fine-sized fraction of iron ore and the most widely traded form of the commodity. Before they can go into a furnace they are agglomerated — sintered at the steel plant or pelletized — which lets mills blend ores to a target chemistry.
Fines are typically priced against a reference grade, with value adjusted for iron content and impurities. We confirm the full chemical and sizing profile before any product is presented.
Typical applications
- Sinter-plant feed at integrated steelworks
- Pellet-plant feed, including concentrate blending
- Beneficiation and upgrading programmes
