Why Venezuela

A resource base built around the Guayana region.

Venezuela’s basic industries grew up along the Orinoco and Caroní rivers in the Guayana region of Bolívar State: iron ore, pellets and briquettes, steel, bauxite, alumina and primary aluminum — linked by river port access to the Atlantic.

Those value chains match our core products. We give Venezuela a dedicated focus while keeping Lunar World of Mines an international brand: we serve buyers and partners worldwide, and Venezuelan opportunities go through the same verification as any other.

Verification

What every specific opportunity requires.

We avoid supply, inventory or mine-access claims until they are substantiated. Before any Venezuelan opportunity is presented, we verify:

Ownership or representation

Who holds the rights or the product, and the documents that prove it.

Provenance

Where the material comes from and how it moved.

Permits

Mining, environmental and export authorizations in force.

Counterparties

KYC on every company and individual in the chain.

Applicable sanctions

Screening against U.S. OFAC and other applicable sanctions and export controls.

Transaction documents

Offers, contracts, inspection, payment and shipping documents that hold up to review.

Aluminum-sector portfolio

Products organized by producer.

Venezuela’s aluminum sector has been organized under CVG, the Corporación Venezolana de Guayana. The products below are grouped by the producing company for reference.

Notice CVG, Alcasa, Venalum and Bauxilum names and marks remain the property of their respective owners. Inclusion is informational and does not imply affiliation, authorization or representation.

Sanctions & compliance

We proceed only where a transaction can be carried out lawfully.

The United States maintains Venezuela-related sanctions administered by the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Depending on the parties involved, dealings with the Government of Venezuela, state-owned entities or designated persons may be prohibited unless authorized by OFAC, and rules change over time.

We check current rules and the facts of each transaction before making any public claim or commitment, and we decline opportunities that cannot be structured in compliance with applicable law.
