About Iron Ore Pellets
Pellets are small, hardened spheres of concentrated iron ore. Their uniform size, strength and chemistry make them a premium furnace feed: they let gas flow evenly through the burden and deliver consistent metallurgical results.
Pellets are produced in two main families — blast-furnace grade and direct-reduction (DR) grade, the latter with higher iron content and lower gangue for DRI and HBI production. We confirm the grade and physical properties the buyer’s process requires.
Typical applications
- Blast-furnace burden (BF-grade pellets)
- Direct-reduction plants producing DRI or HBI (DR-grade pellets)
- Blending to lift burden quality and productivity
