About Wire Rod
Wire rod is hot-rolled steel of small round section, delivered in coils. Wire drawers reduce it into wire used for mesh, nails, fasteners, springs, cables and a wide range of manufactured goods.
The right grade depends on the end use — from low-carbon mesh and drawing quality to higher-carbon grades — along with diameter, coil weight and the drawability the customer’s process needs.
Typical applications
- Wire drawing for mesh, nails and fencing
- Fasteners and cold-heading
- Reinforcing mesh and industrial wire
